SETA-CRM AvCount Verification Material
The SETA-CRM AvCount Verification Material serves as a Secondary Working Standard (SWS) with a particle distribution traceable to NIST SRM 2806a and 2806d. Laboratories use it with Automatic Particle Counters (APCs) calibrated in accordance with ISO 11171 using IP 565, IP 630, and/or ASTM D7619.
This material is produced under our ISO 17034 UKAS accreditation, and is characterised in accordance with ISO 11171. Upon request, NIST 2806b values are also available.
The AvCount Verification Material is suppled in tamper-evident security packaging with full documentation, including a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). It has a two-year shelf life from the date of manufacture and comes in a 250 mL bottle.

The AvCount Verification Material provides the most comprehensive solution for verifying ISO 11171 Automatic Particle Counters every six months using IP 565, IP 630, and/or ASTM D7619. Its homogeneity testing exceeds ISO 11171 requirements, ensuring a high level of confidence in results.
Beyond particle counter verification, laboratories can also use this CRM for routine instrument performance monitoring and training personnel on new equipment and test methods. Incorrect test results can lead to significant financial and safety risks. As automated instrumentation becomes more common, the likelihood of undetected errors increases. Early detection of bias serves as a valuable warning to minimise production “giveaway.”
The AvCount Verification Material is packaged in a glass bottle with specialist tamper-proof caps, ensuring samples remain contaminant-free throughout production.
Certification: The AvCount Verification Material is supplied with an ISO 33401-compliant certificate of measurement, detailing a certified value for each covered test method.
